Sad News I’m afraid that after 50 years of being an affiliated British Riding Club we have had to call time on the club as we no longer have anywhere to hold the shows, it’s due to the sad sudden death of Paul the owner of the land. We have tried to find somewhere to hold this years remaining shows; but I’m afraid with no luck.
We will require the return of all the the annual trophies won by members in 2018, They will be returned to the original people who donated them to the club. They are due to be returned by what would be the September show, so if you could get yourselves organized to return them; that would be a great help.
We are having a party to close the club it will be on 20th September at Rainford X Club, Bushy Lane. (the same place where we hold the Presentation Evening). There would be no charge for tickets or food and we will have the obligatory Tombola. It would be just a night for old & current members & friends of Laffak to catch up and reminisce, so if you have any ls photos bring them along. Look out on Facebook for any more details.
As per are club constitution in the event of the club having to disband, the assets of the club shall first be used to discharge all liabilities of the club and the remaining assets/funds held by the club shall be donated to charity.
It’s with much regret that this sad event has happened and we are sure you would think of Paul’s wife at this sad time.
To all the members & horses/ponies we wish you all the best for the future.
Linda, Mo & Nicky.
